MUKAH: The Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) is collaborating with the Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) to provide industry players with the right match of skilled workers.
Through this collaboration, both parties will share knowledge on the required skills and technical manpower needs through consultation and engagement with industry players.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was held between RECODA and CENTEXS, which was witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Abang Haji Openg during the launch of CENTEXS Mukah this morning.
RECODA, which looks after the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) development growth, has been aggressively engaging with industry players, particularly those at the Samalaju Industrial Park to facilitate them in their investment needs, including manpower supply to meet their operational demands.
Similar collaborations on upskilling and manpower development will also be inked between RECODA and other skills training providers and higher education institutions soon.
In addition to drawing investment to SCORE and creating job opportunities for Sarawakians, RECODA is also tasked with implementing infrastructure and socio-economic development projects through its three development agencies.
The agencies are the Upper Rajang Development Agency (URDA), the Highland Development Agency (HDA) and the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA).
