Visitors to rural communities in the Pandaruan Land District, in Limbang can soon rest easy as a new Rumah Temuai will provide an affordable and pleasant accommodation option.
With the installation of a new roof, the final touches are being made to the single-storey Rumah Temuai, also known as a Native Rest House, which has been under construction since late last year.
The rest house will cater to a growing need for a cheap accommodation option for rural folk as they travel to and from towns in the Limbang Division
Completed are the roadworks and the installation of the door panels, ironmongery, lighting, fans and rainwater downpipes.
The rainwater harvesting tank and drainage cover are also done.
All that’s left to finish up are the laundry drying yard, some drains as well as fencing and paint work.
The new Rumah Temuai replaces the previous rest house that has since been demolished on the same site.
This building project is implemented by the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA), under RECODA.
