Today’s meeting was to provide industrial support to the China-based investor, as well as to co-ordinate potential vocational training and upskilling programmes to cater to Wenan Steel’s workforce requirements.
Wenan Steel is investing into a steel manufacturing project in the Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu, Sarawak. The site of the plant is currently undergoing earthworks, which is slated to be completed early next year. The plant is expected to be operational by 2024.
