KUCHING: As part of the efforts to ensure investors from the Samalaju Industrial Park in Bintulu are well taken care of, the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) held a virtual meeting earlier today with the senior management staff of all the companies operating there.
Chaired by RECODA’s Facilitation and Coordination Manager, Khairina Dawek, the meeting was also attended by among others, Group CEO of Press Metal Tan Sri Paul Koon, CEO of OCIM Sdn Bhd Choi Sung Kil and CEO of Malaysian Phosphate Additives (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd Tiong Huo Chiong.
During the one-hour session, the investors shared their concerns that include manpower and infrastructure issues which require immediate attention from RECODA to assist them in liaising with relevant authorities to get it resolved.
These investors were given assurance by RECODA that their concerns would be immediately addressed.
The session today is RECODA’s initiative to regularly engage with investors to facilitate them in their businesses.
Established in 2008, the Samalaju Industrial Park covers an area of 8,000 hectares and has so far attracted an approved investment worth RM29.8 billion from both foreign and domestic investors.
