Kuching, Sarawak. The International ICT Infrastructure And Digital Economy Conference Sarawak 2017 (IDECS 2017) was held from 3rd – 4th April 2017 at the Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching.

IDECS 2017 brought to Sarawak leaders in government, academia and the digital economy to determine how best the State can leverage the growth of technology and how best to it can be used to accelerate growth in the state.
The Conference had four primary objectives, namely:

  1. To create an awareness of the digital economy for local businesses to tap into larger business markets
  1. A platform for sharing best practices in the digital economy
  1. Determine the way forward for the digitisation of the Sarawak economy to generate greater economic growth in the State
  1. Challenge local businesses to rethink the way they deliver their products and services, through the channels offered by technology

RECODA participated in the exhibition by setting up a booth on SCORE’s development to date.
The event was hosted by the Sarawak State Government and launched by the Honorable Chief Minister of Sarawak.
