Rural Connectivity Monitoring Project Meeting in Kapit
RECODA participated in the Rural Connectivity Monitoring Project Meeting with the Public Works Department (JKR) Kapit Division, State Assemblymen, and relevant Government Agencies yesterday.
Chaired by YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak, the meeting was also attended by the Works Minister, YB Dato’ Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, who is also the Chairman of the Upper Rajang Development Agency (URDA), and the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development I (Infrastructure Development), YB Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo.
Our CEO, Datu Haji Ismawi Haji Ismuni, updated the members of the meeting on the progress of the Access Road to the Baleh Hydroelectric Plant (HEP), noting that the 73 km stretch from Ng. Mujong to Baleh HEP is now 97% complete.
“The two remaining packages to be completed consist of approximately 9 km of R3 road, a two-lane single carriageway, and one bridge.”
The Access Road project is expected to be completed in 2025, significantly improving connectivity and infrastructure in the region.

Dipengerusikan oleh YB Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Timbalan Premier Sarawak dan Menteri Infrastruktur dan Pembangunan Pelabuhan Sarawak, mesyuarat tersebut turut dihadiri oleh Menteri Kerja Raya, YB Dato’ Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi yang juga Pengerusi Agensi Pembangunan Upper Rajang (URDA), serta Timbalan Menteri Infrastruktur dan Pembangunan Pelabuhan I (Pembangunan Infrastruktur), YB Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo.
Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) RECODA, Datu Haji Ismawi Haji Ismuni, memberitahu bahawa jalan akses ke Tapak Empangan Baleh (HEP) sepanjang 73 km dari Ng. Mujong ke Baleh HEP kini 97% siap.
“Kedua-dua pakej yang tinggal untuk disiapkan merangkumi lebih kurang 9 km jalan R3, iaitu laluan sehala dua lorong, dan satu jambatan.”
Projek jalan akses tersebut dijangka siap pada 2025 dan akan meningkatkan ketersalinghubungan serta infrastruktur di rantau itu.
