On the sidelines of the Mines and Money 2016 Conference held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, RECODA’s CEO, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot together with a business development team from Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) had a series of meetings with potential investors from the Far East Region on investing in SCORE.
The team led by Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot included Mr Nick Wright, Mr Nicholas Chong Hai Fung, Mr Ruslizham Mat Diah and Mr Dawend Jiwan met with Cathy Han, Head of Business Development at Shougang Fushan Resources Limited (SFR).
Shougang Fushan Resources Limited is the second largest hard coking coal producer in China principally focused on coal mining and production and sales of raw and clean coking coal.
Earlier during the conference, SEB’s Vice President of Business Development, Mr Nick Wright presented the keynote address entitled “Sarawak: The Smelting and Minerals Processing Hub for Asia Pacific”. His well received presentation focussed on the advantages of doing business in Sarawak especially for power-intensive enterprises that have energy costs that make up over 30% of production costs.
