The existing earth roads in Long Lama and Long Bedian, in the Miri division will be upgraded soon after soil investigation works began recently without objections from land owners.
A total of 21.4km of roads connecting Long Lama to the Temala Junction (main road) as well as the Uma Akeh spur road, will be upgraded to JKR R1 road after ongoing earthworks and site clearance are completed.
Machineries are being mobilised on site with all works within the nearby Sabah–Sarawak Gas Pipeline (boundary) on hold until approval permits are granted.
The upgrade works are being implemented by the Highland Development Agency (HDA), under RECODA. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2022.
