Business delegation from South Australia visits RECODA
Mr PK Chin the Senior Advisor for International Engagement, Trade, Immigration & Higher Education, Dept of State Development, South Australia visited RECODA to learn for himself the successes so far in the region and what business ventures the two governments could explore further.
Mr Chin’s visit is also to lay the ground work for the South Australian Minister’s upcoming visit to Malaysia and Singapore. The minister will visit multiple locations across Malaysia and Singapore to assess the potential of the area which is anticipated to be a key region of the South Australian Government’s strategy for South East Asia.
Mr Chin was suitably impressed with the speed and size of the development at SCORE and expressed confidence at the potential for collaboration between the Governments, especially in areas such as advanced engineering.
Representing RECODA was the CEO, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot, RECODA’s Head of Projects, Mr Dawend Jiwan, and RECODA’s Head of Internal Audit, Mr Siten Siam.
Others present during the meeting included MIDA Sarawak Director Redzuan Abd Rahman, MITI Sarawak Director Griffith Jones and Matrade Sarawak Director Leany Mokhtar.
