We are starting the year with a collaborative knowledge exchange in sustainable investments, alongside InvestKL and InvestSarawak at our headquarters in Kuching.

Our CEO, Datu Ismawi Ismuni, warmly welcomed a delegation from InvestKL, headed by CEO Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli. Currently on an exploratory visit to Sarawak, the delegation aims to gain insights into the local business environment.

“Our focus is on identifying investments that yield continuous spillover,” Azmi said during a comprehensive discussion today with RECODA and InvestSarawak CEO Timothy Ong, which centred around the green economy and green Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

InvestKL’s itinerary includes visits to industrial hubs, companies, and organisations in Sarawak. These visits are intended to enrich their understanding of the investment climate and key industries in the region.

During the discussion, Ismawi shared RECODA’s “bottom-up” approach in achieving a vision and mission that not only focuses on investments but also community well-being.

“I’m optimistic that this visit offers more opportunities than just a planning exercise,” Ismawi said. “It can be an opportunity to share innovative ideas and build potential partnerships towards a prosperous future for our regions and for Malaysia as a whole.”
