Customers and traders at the Limbang Wet Market can rejoice as upgrade works that have been ongoing since early last year have now been completed with the installation of a new roof.
The previous metal roofing was replaced with a lightweight truss roofing, which should provide problem-free cover for years to come.
The new orange roof capped a series of improvements to the market, where some 90 traders work at the centre of the bustling Limbang Bazaar.
Among the works carried since last year included the repainting of the building, upgrading works to the food stalls area on the first floor, and replacement of existing aluminium louvres and broken tiles.
Repair works were also carried out to the drains, cracks in the walls and ceiling as well as leakages around the building.
The upgrade works were part of building projects implemented by the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA), under RECODA.
