Reason to cheer for villagers as new road coming their way soon
LIMBANG: Villagers from Kampung Seberang Kedai will soon be connected with a new road to Bukit Lubok here once its construction is completed in early 2022.
With machineries and manpower already been deployed to the site, construction work on this 3.7km road is currently at its preliminary stage with activity involving site clearing is taking place.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan who is also chairman of Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA) performed a simple ground breaking ceremony this afternoon.
Also present were chief executive officer of Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) Datu Ismawi Ismuni and NRDA director Datu Ubaidillah Abdul Latip.
NRDA is an agency under RECODA.
The road project is one of the 165 projects under NRDA, covering areas from Limbang to Lawas, also include other projects like water supply and electrical, riverine structure and drainage, buildings, recreational facilities and an airport.
These projects with a total cost of RM1.5bil will tremendously change the landscape, bring in investments as well as job opportunities in the region.
