Over 200 participants attended “Seminar on Human Capital Development” organized by University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) on 25th March 2015. The seminar was officiated by the Chairman of University College of Technology Sarawak, Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh.
The objective of the seminar was to share the latest information on industrial development and human capital requirements in Sarawak with special reference to the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE). At the seminar, Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot, presented a topic on the ‘Impact of SCORE on Sarawak’s Future’.
The director of Manpower Development Unit from the Chief Minister’s Department, Professor Dr Abdul Rahman Deen, presented a topic on ‘Sarawak Manpower Development Needs: How Schools Can Support the Manpower Preparation for Sarawak’. UCTS vice-chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Abdul Hakim Juri touched on the topic ‘UCTS Contribution for Sarawak Manpower Development’, while Oxford Business Group (OBG) managing editor for Asia, Paulius Kuncinas, expounded his thoughts on ‘Reports on Sarawak Economy’.
At the function, Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh exchanged a memorandum of understanding with 16 companies involved in the Corporate Talent Development (CTD) scheme.
