Happening today at Balai Raya Song, the SDG Youth Empowerment 2026 brings together 260 Form 4 students from SMK Song, SMK Song No. 2 and SMK Katibas for a day of learning, exposure and empowerment. Guided by the 5Ps; People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnerships. The programme introduces students to future jobs, education pathways, skills development, drug prevention, scam awareness and personal safety.

The programme is organised by RECODA through the Upper Rajang Development Agency (URDA), with support from Pusat SDG Negara (PSN), and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD), Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Agensi Antidadah Kebangsaan (AADK), Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), participating schools and strategic partners.

For RECODA, meaningful development goes beyond infrastructure, it is also about building people, creating opportunities and empowering the next generation to shape Sarawak’s future. As part of Program SDG Bersasar Sarawak 2026, the initiative brings the Sustainable Development Goals closer to communities through inclusive and targeted action.
