RECODA’s unwavering commitment to supporting Sarawak’s ambitions to become a high-income state in Malaysia transcends geographical boundaries.

Today, in London, RECODA joined the Sarawak Government delegation through MINTRED Connects to attract foreign investors, particularly to industrial zones and investment areas in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE).

These areas include the Upper Rajang Development Agency (URDA) region covering Ulu Rajang in Kapit, Belaga, Song, and Kanowit; the Highland Development Agency (HDA) region covering the Highlands from Long Lama to Ulu Baram; and the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA) region covering the Northern Region of Sarawak encompassing Limbang and Lawas. Additionally, potential investments are also directed to the Samalaju Industrial Park (SIP) in Bintulu and five major growth nodes in Sarawak, namely Tanjung Manis, Mukah, Samalaju, Baram and Tunoh.

The programme in the UK also includes a visit to Birmingham for in-depth discussions and collaborative exploration of green and circular economy development with investors.

These efforts are certain to have an impact, in line with Sarawak’s long-term sustainable growth plan, the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
