Pusat Sehenti Gagasan Badan Ekonomi Melayu (GABEM) (PSG) Bintulu Programme
On 5th April 2015, the “Pusat Sehenti Gagasan Badan Ekonomi Melayu (GABEM) (PSG) Bintulu Programme” was officiated by Second Resource Planning and Environment Minister, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan. The objective of the programme was to provide appropriate assistance and guidance to local Bumiputera entrepreneurs.
According to Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, trigger industries in SCORE will generate larger economic spin-offs across the surrounding areas in various fields such as transportation, construction, catering and support services. He believes local entrepreneurs must be the catalyst for such growth, such as that in the halal sector.
Also present at the event were GABEM Chairman Tan Sri Dr Rahim Tamby Chik, Assistant Minister in Chief Minister’s Office (Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Development) Datuk Haji Mohd Naroden B Haji Majais, Assistant Minister of Public Utilities Datuk Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, Assistant Minister of Tourism Datuk Haji Talib Zulpilip, and Assistant Minister of Industrial Development (Investment and Promotion) Datuk Julaihi Narawi, who is also Assistant Minister of Rural Development.
