The Anjung Usahawan Long Tuan in Lawas was officially launched today by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Bin Ali Hasan, who is also the chairman of the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA).

The event was also graced by Lawas Parliamentary Representative Dato Henry Sum Agong.

This Anjung Usahawan comprises nine shop units, with five stalls specifically for small retail or cottage industries, particularly for traders selling fruits and vegetables as well as handicraft products such as pottery and handmade items like machetes and others.

Anjung Usahawan is part of the Sarawak Government’s effort to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by facilitating the development of budding entrepreneurs.

Currently, a total of nine Anjung Usahawan projects are being implemented in the Limbang and Lawas districts, with two other projects already completed – Kampung Ladang Baru in Lawas and Kampung Nanga Medamit in Limbang.
