Majlis Memulakan Kerja Pembinaan Lebuhraya Pan Borneo Sarawak Jajaran Telok Melano Sematan
On 15 September 2015, the commencement ceremony for the Pan Borneo Highway Telok Melano-Sematan stretch project was officiated by Prime Minister YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Construction of the RM700mil Telok Melano-Sematan stretch will take 39 months and is scheduled to be completed in December 2018. The single-carriageway stretch will connect Telok Melano village at the southern tip of Sarawak to the small coastal town of Sematan, about 110km from Kuching.
Also present during the ceremony were Chief Minister YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Adenan bin Haji Satem, YB Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Alfred Jabu anak Numpang and Works Minister YB Datuk Seri Haji Fadillah Yusof.
