Launch of Long Lama Bridge Project, Miri by YAB Chief Minister of Sarawak
On 30th July 2015, the launch of the Long Lama Bridge Project was officiated by Sarawak Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Adenan Satem.
Also present during the ceremony were the Deputy Chief Minister; Minister of Modernisation of Agriculture; Minister of Rural Development, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Alfred Jabu anak Numpang; State Legislative Assembly Speaker, Datuk Amar Haji Mohd Asfia Awang Nasar, and Telang Usan assemblyman, Mr Dennis Ngau.
The construction of the Long Lama Bridge will change the landscape of Long Lama and Telang Usan as well as Baram as whole. The Long Lama Bridge will also replace inconvenient ferry services.
The Long Lama Bridge is one of the infrastructure projects implemented under the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) initiative.
