iCPD 2024: Empowering Sarawak’s Workforce Through Strategic Partnerships and Industry Expertise
The fifth edition of the Industry Continuous Professional Development (iCPD) programme was successfully held today at the Imperial Hotel in Kuching, officiated by The Honourable Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak.
This year marks the inaugural iCPD initiative, a collaborative effort involving the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD), the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment Sarawak (MINTRED), the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC), and the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA).
RECODA has been supporting this programme since its inception, reflecting its ongoing commitment to empowering local talent and driving sustainable socio-economic growth across the Sarawak
Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) region.
Focusing on enhancing professional growth and employability, the programme featured insightful sessions on essential industry topics and provided valuable one-on-one clinic sessions with industry experts.
Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between MEITD and MPC, laying the groundwork for future collaborations. Together through iCPD, we are committed to addressing the evolving needs of Sarawak’s labour market and preparing a skilled workforce for 2030.

Edisi kelima program Industry Continuous Professional Development (iCPD) telah diadakan dengan jayanya hari ini di Hotel Imperial, Kuching, dan dirasmikan oleh Yang Berhormat Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Menteri Pendidikan, Inovasi dan Pembangunan Bakat Sarawak.
Tahun ini menandakan kali pertama inisiatif iCPD dianjurkan, hasil daripada kerjasama antara Kementerian Pendidikan, Inovasi, dan Pembangunan Bakat Sarawak (MEITD), Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa, Industri dan Pelaburan Sarawak (MINTRED), Perbadanan Produktiviti Malaysia (MPC), dan Lembaga Pembangunan Koridor Wilayah (RECODA).
RECODA telah memberikan sokongan kepada program ini sejak mula diperkenalkan, menunjukkan komitmen berterusan dalam memperkasakan bakat tempatan serta memacu pertumbuhan sosio-ekonomi mampan di wilayah Koridor Tenaga Boleh Diperbaharui Sarawak (SCORE).
Dengan fokus untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan profesional dan kebolehpasaran, program ini menampilkan sesi-sesi yang penuh informasi mengenai topik penting dalam industri serta menyediakan sesi klinik bersemuka yang bermanfaat bersama pakar industri.
Tambahan lagi, satu pertukaran Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU) telah diadakan antara MEITD dan MPC, meletakkan asas untuk kerjasama masa depan. Melalui iCPD, kami komited untuk menangani keperluan pasaran tenaga kerja Sarawak yang sentiasa berubah dan menyediakan tenaga kerja mahir menjelang 2030.
