RECODA Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot went for a site visit on RECODA’s RM1.4 Billion Baleh Road project.
The CEO was joined by his Head of Project unit Mr Dawend Jiwan, Environmental Officer Mr Paul Ponar Sinjeng and his Engineer Mohd Safri Ibrahim.
The visit enabled Tan Sri to understand the going ons of the project at the ground level while also allows him to fully soak in the current physical status of the massive project.
The project will be implemented at an approved cost of RM1.4 billion. Expected to be fully completed by the end of 2019, the infrastructure is crucial for the construction of the 1,285MW Baleh hydroelectric dam that is expected to begin this year and operational in 2024.
Apart from accelerating the development of the state’s energy sector, the 73km road project by RECODA is set to open up new areas of economic activities in the region for agriculture and commercial forestry which would help to create job and business opportunities for the local communities.
