Perbarisan and Rapat Raksasa sempena Hari Jadi TYT ke-78
On 13th September 2014, Padang Merdeka in Kuching was witness to a lively parade and march pass held in conjunction with the 78th birthday of the Tuan Yang Terutama Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Pehin Sri Taib. The event was extra meaningful to the participants, locals and visitors as it was Sarawak’s first time celebrating the birthday of the newly elected TYT, together with the presence of Sarawak’s new Chief Minister.
Upon the arrival of the TYT, the event began with a salute by 103 members of the Royal Malay Regiment. After the TYT’s speech, the festivities continued with the parade participated by 115 contingents of 4000 participants including government officers, corporations, students, NGOs and political parties. RECODA was represented by a group of thirty members who were proud to be part of the event.
