Sarawak Community College strategic collaboration ceremony with SCORE and High Impact Industries
On 13th February 2015, the Honourable YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, attended a special ceremony marking the strategic collaboration between Sarawak community colleges with SCORE and high impact industries.
The collaboration hopes to contribute to creating a skilled workforce to meet the manpower needs for economic development within SCORE and Sarawak. According to Muhyiddin, who is also Malaysia’s Education Minister, “In the context of SCORE, such strategic collaborations ensure that more local manpower will be generated based on specific needs of the industries involved, including key players in Sarawak’s high-impact industries such as oil and gas, shipping, aluminium, green technology, hospitality and high-tech fashion.”
Muhyiddin presented a collaboration certificate to Recoda Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot, and later visited the SCORE showcase.
Sarawak’s Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem was represented by Social Development Minister Tan Sri William Mawan.
