Sarawak Career and Training Fair 2015 (SCAT Fair)
The Sarawak Career and Training Fair 2015 (SCAT Fair) was launched by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Haji Adenan Satem at the Borneo Convention Centre in Kuching. The two-day event was held on the 7th and 8th of March.
The event, themed “Enhancing Employability”, is a collaboration between the Workforce Development Unit (WDU) and Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Bumiputera Sarawak (TEGAS). SCAT Fair hopes to provide and promote opportunities for the youth and school leavers who are looking forward to furthering their studies, undergo training and are looking for jobs.
The event featured various training institutions, education scholarships and loan providers.A number of private companies operating in Samalaju Industrial Park were also present at the event including Tokuyama Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Press Metal Bintulu Sdn Bhd, OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd, Sakura Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd and others.
Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) was one of the key partners of the event and our booth provided information about the latest developments and opportunities within SCORE.
