Lan Berambeh 2015
Lan Berambeh 2015 was held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) on 24 October 2015. The launch was officiated by Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Alfred Jabu anak Numpang.
First introduced in 2008, the programme succeeded in achieving the objective of getting Sarawakians in the peninsula together under one roof as well as providing them with the opportunity to expand their careers with talks and exhibitions by agencies from both the public and private sectors. RECODA was one of the exhibitors. Our exhibition featured the latest developments and opportunities in the SCORE areas.
A Townhall Session “Kamek ngan CM Adenan” (We and CM Adenan) was also held with Mr Salihin Abang as the moderator. The Convention and forum were attended by 4,500 Sarawak students studying in Peninsular Malaysia. The Townhall Session was a major attraction for the students as it enabled them to provide their ideas and views and received feedback directly from the Chief Minister.
The “Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak 2015” dinner was graced by the Sarawak Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud. Also present were His Excellency’s wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajah Ragad Kurdi Taib; the Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Patinggi Dato Jamilah Anu; Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang; Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, who was also the event’s committee chairman; and state and federal ministers.
About 10,000 ‘anak Sarawak’ (Sarawakians) from all over the peninsula came to the “Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak 2015” progamme held for the eighth time at PWTC. The annual programme was organised by Persatuan Anak Sarawak Semenanjung in collaboration with the state government through the Sarawak-Kuala Lumpur Liaison Office Rumah Sarawak and Yayasan Sarawak Kuala Lumpur branch.
